Iván Muela is a composer and sound artist based in London. He has released a number of albums and EP's in which he explores the seams between classical, ambient and experimental music. His work often blends traditional instrumentation with electronic processing, creating soundscapes that resemble ever-evolving sonic paintings.
This event will be a one-off performance to celebrate the release of his new album 'Ether' (out 27th September). Iván will be performing his music with an ensemble alongside his piano and electronics.
Support from Loa
Loa is a collaboration between Rick Leigh and Genevieve Dawson, marking a new beginning in their long musical partnership. Working with Producer and pianist Sam Beste (aka the Vernon Spring) Loa have created a soundworld that is rich with colour and depth, revealing itself slowly, as though looking at a long exposure photograph. Their approach draws upon a musical inheritance that’s both soulful and contemporary; from Joni Mitchell to Nils Frahm, James Blake and Adrianne Lenker.
